Kuşadası Bus Terminal (Otogar)

Kuşadası’s main bus terminal (otogar) is on the edge of town, roughly 2 km from the marina and seafront. It is the arrival and departure point for intercity coaches and the local dolmuş cooperatives. A taxi or a frequent dolmuş minibus gets you into the centre in just a few minutes.

Kuşadası is not on the main intercity motorway, so most long-distance journeys route through Söke, the area’s transport hub about 20 km away. From Söke you can reach Izmir, Aydın, Didim, Bodrum and beyond. Operators such as Pamukkale Turizm, Kamil Koç and Metro Turizm serve these routes — some sell through-tickets to Kuşadası with a free shuttle (servis) connection from Söke.

A few direct services do run to and from Kuşadası — for example Kamil Koç’s twice-daily Kuşadası–Didim coach, and seasonal direct buses to Izmir. In summer the choice of direct departures increases, so it is worth checking operator websites before defaulting to a Söke connection.

From the otogar and the centre, frequent dolmuş minibuses run on local lines — to Söke (every few minutes), Selçuk (for Ephesus), Aydın, Ladies Beach and the southern beach suburbs. They are cheap, run all day and are the way locals get around; pay the driver on board.

If you arrive at the otogar with luggage, the easiest option is a short taxi to your hotel, or a pre-booked private transfer that meets you directly — handy after a long coach journey or a multi-leg trip via Söke.
