Bodrum to Kuşadası

Bodrum sits about 155 km south of Kuşadası — the longest of the common Aegean transfer routes. The two famous resort towns are not directly linked by a fast road or ferry, so every option routes inland via Söke, the regional transport hub. Plan for 2 to 2.5 hours by car or transfer, and longer by public bus.

A private transfer is the only truly direct option, taking about 2 to 2.5 hours door to door along the coast and inland roads, with no changes. It is ideal if you are combining a Bodrum holiday with Ephesus and Kuşadası, travelling as a family, or moving between hotels with luggage.

For most departures there is no single through-bus: you travel Bodrum → Söke (operated by companies such as Pamukkale Turizm, departing from Bodrum otogar roughly every couple of hours and taking about 2 hours), then change at Söke to a Kuşadası bus or dolmuş for the final ~20 km. Total time is usually 3.5–4 hours including the connection, and fares start from around $13–20.
