Ladies Beach (Kadınlar Denizi)

Ladies Beach (Kadınlar Denizi) is where Kuşadası gathers when the sun comes out. The water shelves gently for hundreds of metres, making it ideal for families and weaker swimmers. Lines of blue and red sun umbrellas cover the whole bay, and a strip of beach restaurants serves seafood, gözleme and cold drinks all day.

It sits about 3 km south of the centre and is easy to reach by the frequent dolmuş (shared minibus) that runs along the coast road. Mornings are calmest; by mid-afternoon in summer it fills with a lively mix of locals and visitors. Sunbeds and umbrellas are rented by the day, usually with a small minimum spend at the restaurant behind them.
